There are many types of colon cells that make up the villi.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>LET&#8217;S LOOK AT THE RED GLOWING M CELLS.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"269\" height=\"181\" class=\"wp-image-7274\" src=\"https:\/\/fmt-japan.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/Intestinal-mucosal-surface-at-the-steady-state-The-intestinal-epithelial-barrier-is-a-2.jpeg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/figure>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>M cells are like a gateway for bacteria to enter the colon tissue.<br \/>But like gatekeepers, they do not play much of a role in turning away bad guys.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>The bacteria (antigens) are delivered to immune cells called dendritic cells.<br \/>The mechanism of this switch is not yet clear, but TLRs (toll-like receptors), short-chain fatty acids produced by the bacteria, and the exchange of enzymes between the bacteria and humans are thought to be key factors.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Incidentally, butyrate, a short-chain fatty acid, is also responsible for stimulating mucus production.<br \/>They create their own environment so that they can keep their distance from colon cells.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"i-4\"><\/span>Cytokines in T cells, passive transport by IgA in B cells<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\r\n\r\n<p>Dendritic cells that hear the information from M cells determine whether the organism is an enemy or not and activate T and B cells. ( (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.jbsoc.or.jp\/seika\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/83-01-03.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Biology of M cells, specialized intestinal epithelial cells<\/a>) )<\/p>\r\n\r\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-7273\" src=\"https:\/\/fmt-japan.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/dc5703d857041b10fc1fcb786d3f819a.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"132\" height=\"145\" \/>\r\n<figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Antimicrobial peptides (AMPs), including defensins and cathelicidins, constitute an arsenal of innate regulators of paramount importance in the gut.<\/figcaption>\r\n<\/figure>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>There is a pathogen!&#8221; then Th17 cells release proinflammatory cytokines and killer T cells are mobilized to eliminate the bacteria.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>On the other hand, if it is determined that &#8220;We want these bacteria to remain in the intestine! In addition, the Paneth cells, which bacteria don&#8217;t like, produce antibacterial peptides, making it a difficult environment for bacteria to enter.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Therefore, it has long been believed that there are no bacteria in this &#8220;cryptic fossa.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>But it is now known that certain bacteria live in large numbers in this crypt. In addition, cells called germ cells provide a meal (mucus rich in mucopolysaccharides).
