The intestinal flora transplantation performed by our study group takes the form of clinical application by clinicians nationwide and is formally self-funded.

HOWEVER, BECAUSE THE NEW TREATMENT METHOD OF INTESTINAL FLORA TRANSPLANTATION IS ATTRACTING A GREAT DEAL OF ATTENTION AROUND THE WORLD, AND IN THE UNITED STATES, IT HAS BEEN ESTABLISHED AS A TREATMENT METHOD RECOMMENDED BY PUBLIC INSTITUTIONS FOR SOME DISEASES, IT IS ASSUMED THAT INTESTINAL FLORA TRANSPLANTATION (FMT) WILL BE THE SUBJECT OF A CLINICAL RESEARCH METHOD IN THE NEAR FUTURE.

Since its establishment, the Society has established and operated a system that conforms to the guidelines of the Clinical Research Act in the reporting of adverse events and the handling of patient information.

Intestinal flora transplantation, which has not yet been established as a medicine, records as “adverse events” all deteriorations in health that occur after transplantation.

In addition, for the management of donor stool used for transplantation, we have established strict inspection standards, referring to the standards of OpenBiome, the world’s largest and most rigorous U.S. stool bank, and operating according to the same standards and adding our own inspection items, which we operate as Japanbiome.
