The 13th Symposium on Medical Care that Shines with Life (Report on Dr. Masahiko Shirotani’s Lecture)
The 13th Symposium on Medical Care that Shines with Life was held in Osaka on Sunday, November 24, 2019, and Dr. Masahiko Johya, Executive Director of our study group (Director of Luke’s Ashiya Clinic), was a featured speaker.
He introduced the trajectory of a patient who attended Dr. Masahiko Shirotani’s clinic for nearly three years and made dramatic changes as a result of a heart-to-heart relationship between the patient, his family, and his doctor, focusing on diet and mental care.
The symposium also included meditation and healing, and I strongly felt that there are many important things that we cannot see.
Even at the reception, people were constantly asking for Dr. Shirotani’s books, and I was moved by the way he politely exchanged words with each of them and signed his autograph. I felt the bond that was born outside the doctor’s office.
