Case presentation: Male in his 60s, ulcerative colitis (under observation)

summary

He has had bloody stools and abdominal pain since January 2018. Symptoms persisted and was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis in November 2018 after colonoscopy and other tests. She started Lialda 4800 mg, but her symptoms persisted and her weight decreased by 4 kg, so she requested intestinal flora transplantation. Six transplants were performed: 1) on August 26, 2) on August 28, 3) on September 2, 4) on September 9, 5) on September 18, and 6) on September 25, 2019. Gradually, abdominal pain and diarrhea disappeared, as did bloody stools. No side effects associated with transplantation were observed.
