A new medical institution in Fukui now offers intestinal flora transplants!

December 19 (Wed.), Awara City, Fukui, Japan Kimura Hospital to give a lecture on intestinal flora transplantation. Dr. Yohei Kimura is working on a new medical treatment to help people in the Hokuriku region live a healthy life in Fukui. As a specialist in gastrointestinal diseases, he drew attention to the involvement of intestinal bacteria in intestinal diseases that are becoming more common in young people, and gave us a glimpse of the possibilities of this new medicine. Dr. Kimura himself experienced the transplantation, and the nurses who listened to his lecture understood that it is a simple procedure that does not require an endoscope, and that it is less burdensome for the patient. I felt that they were practicing close medical care that connected the kitchen and medical care, such as the study sessions on medicinal meals being held in the hospital.

We hope that our efforts to make the people of Hokuriku aware of the potential of intestinal flora will expand.
