A new medical institution in Aichi, Japan is now offering intestinal flora transplants!

Okazaki City, Aichi Prefecture, on Wednesday, December 12.Takagi Surgical and Medical Hospital to give a lecture on intestinal flora transplantation. Dr. Teruhide Takagi, the director of the clinic, provides both surgical and medical care, with a focus on neurosurgery. He is committed to treatment, valuing the importance of preventive medicine for stroke and the importance of the patient’s own mental state, not just the brain and spinal cord. In becoming a transplant medical institution, our study group asks that the doctor and staff receive transplants after recommendation by at least two regular members and approval by the board of directors. The reason for this is that when receiving a transplant at each medical institution, the doctors and staff must have a deep understanding of intestinal flora transplantation before undertaking the treatment, and that the treatment must be one that you and your loved ones would be willing to undergo. This time, Dr. Takagi himself underwent a transplant. During the lunch break, all the nurses and administrative staff joined us to explain the transplant procedure, frequently asked questions, and how to view and input medical information on transplants performed at clinics nationwide using cloud services. As soon as possible, he told us that he has an appointment next week to see a transplant candidate, and we talked as much as time allowed about the relationship between intestinal flora transplantation and the disease.
