Fecal Microflora Transplantation (FMT) on “Cancer” will be presented in the morning session of the 8th Annual Conference of The Association for Clinical Research of Fecal Microbiota Transplantation Japan to be held on Sunday, September 22, 2024.

がん治療において免疫力の重要性が注目されています。しかし、がんの予防、初期、進行、末期の各段階によって、適用される治療法は多岐にわたります。その中でも、腸内細菌叢移植（FMT）は新たな治療法として期待されています。本発表では、がんの各段階における（免疫）治療の選択肢とともに、特に腸内細菌叢移植がどのようにがん治療に寄与するかについて、最新の研究結果を交えた見解を述べます。腸内環境の調整が免疫力向上に与える影響と、その臨床的意義を検討します。

がん治療に腸内細菌叢移植を加えることにより、がんの発症予防、他のがん治療法の効果を高めること、がんの再発・転移の予防、QOL（生活の質）改善の可能性があります。腸内細菌叢移植により免疫、代謝機能を改善し、がん患者さんに有用な治療法の一つになることを目指しています。今回は、乳がんの患者さんに腸内細菌叢移植を使用した症例を提示します。
