The review for accreditation as a “compliant organization for medical safety evaluation” has been completed.

AS A “PHYSICIAN-GUIDED CLINICAL TRIAL”, OUR RESEARCH GROUP HAS CONDUCTED INTESTINAL FLORA TRANSPLANTATION (FECAL MICROBIOTA TRANSPLANTATION = FMT) FOR THE FIRST TIME IN JAPAN IN 2017 AT A PRIVATE MEDICAL INSTITUTION IN AN ORGANIZED MANNER TO ESTABLISH A NEW MEDICAL TREATMENT.

The patients who received intestinal flora transplants, which had not yet been established as a medical treatment, in anticipation of the potential of intestinal bacteria, and the clinicians who came together with the passion that the current treatment alone could not solve their patients’ problems, gradually gained recognition and support.

We are pleased to report that we have applied to the Ethics Review Committee of the Japan Organization for Clinical Research Safety Evaluation and have officially completed the review process for accreditation as a “compliant organization for medical safety evaluation”.

In the future, the treatment will be recognized as a more reliable treatment by submitting a notification to the Ethics Review Committee for each disease.
